Who we are:
The Madison Chapter is located on campus at DSU in Madison, the Sioux Falls Chapter is for students in the clinical portion of training in Avera McKennan Hospital or Sanford USD Medical Center, and the Rapid City Chapter is for students in the clinical portion of training at Rapid City Regional Hospital.
The Program:
We have "east" and "west" options for training!
The first year of the curriculum may be taken either on campus at DSU in Madison, or at the University Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Or, students may take the first year at either Black Hills State University in Spearfish or South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City.
Following this first year, the professional respiratory care training is held at Avera McKennan and Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, or at Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City. Be sure to check out our curriculum listings.

* Co-sponsors an Adopt-a-Highway area with the HIM Club. * Offers CPR classes for campus and community * Special activities for the AARC's National Respiratory Care Week and the American Cancer Society's Great American Smokeout (G.A.S.). * Set up displays at Activities Fair, Wellness Fair, and Great American Smokeout. * Offers volunteer time to associated professionals, such as the American Lung Association of South Dakota, The South Dakota Asthma Institute, etc.
