When are meetings held?

Meetings are held roughly once a month. The club is trying out a new format for meetings. Meetings are now going to be held on campus in Technology Center Building (TCB). The meetings will be taped and sent out to HIM program students. If there are enough students expressing interest in participating in the live format of the meeting, a DDN link connection will be set up to connect with a room at the University Center in Sioux Falls. This will be assessed before each meeting. Any given monthly meeting there isn't enough SF student interest in participating in the live format, a DDN link connection will not be set up. Students will always have the option to watch a tape of the meeting. A page will be set up on the website with links to previously taped meeting. An email is sent out to all HIM program students a couple days before the meeting to let students know date, time, and location.

Do you have to be a member to attend a meeting?

No, all HIM program students are welcome to attend meetings. We encourage you to come to a meeting to see what the HIM Club is about. Better yet, come with another student. We always love to see new faces at our meetings!!

How much does it cost to attend a meeting?

There is no cost to attend meetings. There is also no cost to participate in most club activities. Come check us out, and then decide whether you would like to become a member.

How do I become a member?

You can become a member of the HIM Club by paying membership dues. You can pay for each semester individually or pay for both the spring and fall semesters at once.

How much are membership dues?

New-members get a special price $5 per semester. This is good for one semester. After that, dues are $7 per semester. You can pay for each semester individually or entire school year at once. If you are joining in the fall we encourage to pay dues for the entire year at once. We accept cash or personal checks.

Who do I give the money to?

Dues can be given to any club officer or advisor. You can pay with cash or a personal check. Checks should be made out to DSU HIM Club.

How can I get involved in club activities?

We discuss upcoming events at our monthly general meetings. We will often ask directly if anyone is interested in helping with a particular activity or project. You can also get in touch with any of the club officers or advisors. The club officers and advisors are listed on the officers page.
