2002 Fall Meeting

 

Meeting was held on Monday, October 21, 2002

 

Call to order and approval of agenda

 

All members introduce themselves

 

Treasurer’s Report given – all members owe $6, which can be given to Floyd Rummel   (December graduates owe $3)

 

Vending funds were cut this year from $300 to $100

 

Activities planned for the year

           

            FALL SEMESTER

§         Fall meeting – snacks provided by officers

§         Helpline – ongoing service activities – donations can be brought to Mrs. Molstad (includes Kleenex, paper towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, ect..)

§         Bulletin Board & Website – bulletin board on 2nd floor East Hall  - website www.clubs.dsu.edu/dmd - any information for website can be e-mailed to Mrs. Molstad

§         Angel Tree – We will get a name from the angel tree at Pamida or downtown and buy a Christmas present for that person

§         Christmas Tree in BIS – tree will be decorated in East Hall with candy canes for students

§         Thanksgiving Faculty Appreciation – treats will be brought to East Hall room 106 on November 25th for faculty members – Sonya, Jane Sherri, and Sarah will bring treats

§         Food Pantry – canned goods can be brought to Mrs. Molstad’s office until Christmas

 

            SPRING SEMESTER

§         Spring Meeting – will be held at noon a day in the last month of January.

§         Valentine’s Faculty Appreciation – treats will be brought to faculty in East Hall on February 14th.

§         Helpline – (same as during the fall)

§         Women’s Day Conference – introduce speakers at the conference

§         Food Pantry – (same as during the fall)

§         March of Dimes Donation – will give donation to March of Dimes that PBL puts on

§         Spring Banquet – Initiation banquet for new members on a Thursday night during April

 

Spring Banquet  will be held during the last week of January.  New members, who must have at least a 3.2 GPA and 64 credits, will be invited.

 

Initiation and Awards Banquet will be held in April.  We will invite a speaker, who will be our new honorary member.

 

Delta Mu Delta scholarships are available.  Forms for the scholarship will be on the bulletin board or can be e-mailed to you, if you contact Mrs. Molstad.  Due date for the forms is March 1st.
